sorry, to view this toolkit page you need to sign the accord

Signing the Diversity Agenda Accord is the ultimate commitment to our industry. It’s a key tool to drive real behavioural change to ensure the engineering and architecture professions are diverse and inclusive.

As a business leader when you sign the Diversity Agenda Accord, you commit to a clear set of principles that ensure diversity and inclusion are at the centre of how you think, what you say and what you do.

You commit to encouraging diverse thinking, creating opportunities, leading change and measuring your progress. You commit to closing the gender pay equity gap, eliminating barriers to diversity and inclusion, and taking a zero-tolerance approach to harrassment and bullying.

When you become an Accord signatory, you demonstrate to your staff, your team and your customers that you’re committed to investing in diversity within our sector. It’s also an opportunity to come together as business leaders to learn from each other about what is best practice and how to implement it within your organisation.

How does it work?

The Diversity Agenda Accord defines a clear set of tenets for firms to commit to. You then submit an annual report on how you have adhered to them and also complete a compulsory survey to back up the report with data.

We use a peer accountability model to make sure organsiations are complying, and have the right to remove Accord status from firms that do not maintain the requirements they’ve signed up for.

Each year, we produce the Accord Industry Impact Report to showcase the collective progress we’ve made and highlight the work we still need to do.
