The Rainbow Tick journey
Eliza Sutton from WSP is Head of Transport Infrastructure and Road Safety, and also part of their Diversity and Inclusion Advisory. Eliza will talk through WSP’s journey to achieving the Rainbow Tick – a certification mark awarded to organisations that have passed a diversity and inclusion assessment process.
By achieving the Rainbow Tick, WSP have shown they accept and value people in the workplace, embracing the diversity of sexual and gender identities. And they foster a supportive work environment that is accepting of peoples’ differences that benefits everybody in their organisation.
As Ian Blair, MD of WSP New Zealand explains, “This is so much more than a box-ticking exercise. It’s our chance to make a statement of support to our team members, clients, communities and anyone interacting with us, that it’s safe for them to express their individuality and be their authentic self around us.”
You’ll hear why the Rainbow Tick was important for them to gain, and what it truly means for their rainbow community.
