Supporting Parents – from Toddlers to Teenagers and Beyond

The support we give to working parents has a huge impact on creating inclusive cultures and ensuring everyone no matter what life stage they’re at thrive at work. It’s essential we build a sense of belonging for everyone, which in turn has a broader impact on our society. In this session we will cover three broad timeframes of the parenting journey: from pregnancy to toddler stage, school years including teenagers, and the caring responsibilities beyond. We’ll consider some of the ways your business can provide support across those stages and discuss some of the common challenges that many parents face during those times. This interactive session will provide you with an opportunity to learn, share and take away some practical tips to help you support your parents to be their best at work and in their broader lives.

A mum to two teenagers herself, Robin Davies is an award-winning senior executive who has been leading real change in organisations in gender diversity and building inclusive cultures for over 10 years, as People & Culture Director for Lion NZ and now through her own consulting business.
