women in engineering day 2024

22 June 2024

About the event.

This year, Aurecon, the Diversity Agenda and University of Auckland’s ‘Women in Engineering’ team are marking International Women in Engineering Day by joining forces and delivering an engaging and interactive event for our future wāhine engineers. We will fill the room with high school students and their whānau, where they will work together to envisage and build their Future City.

Held in the brand new B201 Building at University of Auckland’s city campus, we’ll start the day with fast paced lightning talks from a range of practicing engineers, covering areas such as infrastructure, transport, climate resilience, communications, health and more. Students will split into small groups where they will apply their ideas with the knowledge of our industry professionals, academics, and university students in the room to create the future world they want live in. Lunch will be provided to fuel all the creative thinking in the room!

Registrations are now open, so will you join us? We’re looking for industry experts to come along and support turning our future engineers creative ideas in to something magnificent.

Date: Saturday 22 June
Time: 10am – 2pm
Venue: B201 Building at University of Auckland’s city campus

We encourage industry attendees to bring their own high school- aged children along to join in the fun!
